I loved the end of The Infanta's Birthdays it portrays the personality of cold people. The part of Soul of fisherman when his soul claims him why he didnt give it his heart. I still keep Oscar Wilde as my favorite write and with this tales even more.
Good read!
Oscar Wilde one of the best writers. Well, he is a personal favorite. Great read. Over too soon. Read this classic.
The book was everything it showed in the presentation here on . It's a reprint of an old book by Oscar Wilde, and the illustrations are really beautiful.
Lovely reproduction of an otherwise insanely overpriced original edition. The originals should probably be in a museum or archives anyway, and this way you don't cry if you get a fingerprint on one of the pages.
The years have not dimmed Oscar Wilde's talent. I read several of these
poems aloud and they are flawless. It truly is amazing. And Ballad of Reading
Gaol, I hadn't read it in quite a while but it is still so powerful. As he said in
his trial, he wrote always for beauty and he delivered. He is probably an
equal to Shakeseare. Please read.
Bough this Calla edition of "A House of Pomegranates"... twice -- first time, upon opening the book the binding that holds the pages became unglued from the spine -- completely -- returned and tried another and the same thing -- very disappointed...but I figure that after two exact same defects, must be a production/batch issue.

5 stars for paper material, illustrations, etc -- as those are all top notch...the issue is the binding/construction which gets a 1 star --

I've checked other Calla editions and this issue seems limited to this title & also "A Midsummer Night's Dream" -- beware of this issue if ordering these two books.
